IHC RSPP Endocrinologist Presents Collaborative Clinical Case Study at The 5th Annual Mayo Clinic Thyroid and Parathyroid Disorders Course

Rumah Sakit Pusat Pertamina (RSPP) is committed to advancing medical knowledge and expertise through research and collaboration. Recently, Dr. Randy Nusrianto, SpPD, KEMD, an endocrinologist at RSPP, presented his collaborative clinical case study at the poster session on prestigious 5th Annual Mayo Clinic Thyroid and Parathyroid Disorders Course in Florida, November 14-16. 2024.

A Unique Case Study

Dr. Nusrianto`s abstract, titled "A Case of Reversible Refractory Hypothyroidism due to Helicobacter pylori Infection” was accepted for presentation at the course. This case study, co-authored with Dr. Asep Saepul Rohmat, SpPD, KGEH, RSPP Gastroenterologist, and Dr. Dicky Levenus Tahapary, Sp.PD-KEMD, PhD, FINASIM, RSCM FKUI Endocrinologist, examines a 48-year-old woman with uncontrolled hypothyroidism diagnosed since early 2022 who presented with reversible refractory hypothyroidism due to Helicobacter pylori infection.

This research highlights the importance of considering less common causes of hypothyroidism and underscores the potential for interdisciplinary collaboration in patient care. Dr. Nusrianto`s presentation at the Mayo Clinic course poster session, provided a valuable opportunity to share these findings with a global audience of healthcare professionals.
